About Coworking
"Coworking" is defined as a cafe-like community and collaboration space for developers, consultants and independents. A coworking space is a comfortable place to work, amongst like-minded individuals, who would otherwise work alone or in crowded, noisy coffee shops.

About The Rift
"Rift" is defined (first) as a separation and (second) as an open space. The Rift, as a coworking space, embodies both of these definitions. Coworking is a separation from freelance and corporate office paradigms. Cubicle walls have also been replaced with group desks and open space.
The Rift provides the medium in which independents can succeed through collaboration, networking and community.
The Space
The Rift fills a 1750 square foot space, utilizing six custom-built desks to accommodate up to 24 community members. The spacious accommodations and configurable seating possibilities will ensure adequate opportunity for collaboration or individual space for really focusing.
We also have 450 more square feet of flex room with two conference rooms for hosting clients and a separate break room. A lounge seating area rounds out the space.
Memberships at The Rift.
The community has it's roots in web design and development, however anyone can join. Community memberships are commitment free.
The Rift operates based on memberships, available as three tiers. Each tier grants the member additional access and benefits. Before joining, we do recommend picking up a day pass ($25/day) to see what coworking is like.

We actually have not opened yet, but if you are interested, we would love to get to know you and will also discount your membership rates if you are ready to joining the community.

Directions
We are located in Mechanicsburg, just minutes from Harrisburg and Camp Hill. That said, we are not open yet and we do not want anyone seeing the space in an incomplete state.
We are wrapping up some final details and are making some improvements to the structure. For the meantime, we are only exchanging directions for a promise to help swing a hammer, so let us know if you are interested in getting your hands dirty.
